in the East of Asia for which we have observations. of all three magnetic elements, and besides those of Dr Doberck, various observers. have visited it since Belcher in 18443.
These include the "Novara," Admiral Richards, Admiral Shadwell twice, with an interval of 15 years, and the "bhallenger in 1876.
• From these results we may gather that the Declination has only changed 10' (minutes), in 45 years. It has not been so, however, with the Inclination and Force, for like some other stations when the Declination is at rest, or nearly so, a marked change is observed to be in progress in the Vertical Component of the Earth's leagnetic Intensity:.
